- Connect USB Cable to computer
- Plug USB Cable into your device
- Your computer should detect your Android device automatically. If your computer does not detect your Android device, you will need to change some settings to allow this.
- On your Android device, drag down the Notifications Bar
- Tap "Connected as Mobile Device" to turn on USB Storage (the folder may appear automatically)
- Tap "OK" to proceed through the User Agreement screen
- When the “USB Computer Connection” window appears on your device, click “Camera (PTP)”
- Open the "Start Menu" on your PC Desktop
- Double-Click the "Computer" option
- Your Android device will be recognized and displayed as "Removable Disk"
- Double-Click the "Removable Disk" drive option to open
- Photos are stored in one of two locations, the “DCIM” folder and/or the “Pictures” folder (depending on the device type)
- Once you locate the correct folder, select the file you wish to copy to your computer (files will highlight when it is selected)
- Click and Drag the selected file to the desktop (or the location/folder of your choice) to copy the file onto your computer
- Once the video has finished copying to the selected location/folder you can access the video file from the destination folder you specified to upload into the ADVANCEfeedback® platform
In terms of searching in the two folders, “DCIM” tends to be where pictures taken with the digital camera apps appear, whereas “Pictures” is usually where photos saved from apps appear. That is not always the case though, which is why we recommend looking in both locations to be sure you find the items you’re looking for.
